Two people were fighting in the street. They were violent. If anyone tried to intervene to part them, he too could get killed.
Then, the Lawyers and Judges were invented by society.
Two fighting people were given one lawyer each. They were told to fight and speak through their lawyers only. They agreed.
Then two lawyers begin to fight and shout at each other on behalf of their clients.
Then a Judge came. He asked lawyers to speak one by one. He first understood case of one lawyer. Then he turned to another lawyer and heard his case.,
Then he decided quarrel.
None of the parties were satisfied.
So more a senior Judge came. He heard them both. He checked decision given by first judge also. And then he gave his decision.
Still parties were not satisfied.
So they went to an even more senior Judge in High Court and and then even more two senior judges in Supreme Court.
In Supreme Court two wise judges were sitting. They checked decisions of all earlier judges and gave their decision.
By this time, 20 years had gone.
Two quarrelling parties had also become aged, pacified and wiser. They had became calm. They were no more swearing at each other.
Now one lawyer, sits in a corner and tries to understand meaning of his own I life.
Why did he kept fighting battles of other through out his life?
He got two answers.
1) The parties were paying his wages. From these wages, he could pay for his family, children and other needs.
2) He was a peace maker. If there were no lawyers, no judges, the two parties could have killed each other years ago. He pacified them by fighting for them. His contribution has led to peace in one corner of society.
His life had been meaningful. Apart from earning his livelihood, he had contributed something to peace and justice in society.
He felt peace within.
