First guru of a lawyer is usually an experienced clerk

When a newly joined lawyer comes to practice law, he faces various challenges.

He has little experience. He has yet to learn procedures.

If a case comes to him, he has probably two options.

First to seek assistance of a senior lawyer friend. But here, he may have to share fees received.

Second option is to seek guidance of some experienced clerk to carry out formalities of case. He may get assistance of an experienced steno who may help in drafting of case.

Thereafter he has to learn by trial and error methods. But these are his first gurus (Teachers).
