We are indeed living in an strange country, if punishment for taking bribe of Rs.500/- is equal to punishment for taking bribe of Rs.500 CRORES/-
Large number of cases in Indian courts are pending where bribe taken by Central or State Government employee is Rs.500/- His Government Service has been lost. His family has suffered unspeakable miseries. He has paid exorbitant fees to lawyers.
He has in fact become bankrupt.
20 Years have passed when he took bribe of Rs.500/-.
And still his cases are pending in Courts up to Supreme Court. Why, Why? Because Government wants him to go to jail for one or two years, in addition to all the losses he has suffered.
Can these Central and State Government employees be let off and have peace now?
