Once, a Senior Advocate scolded his junior Advocate in following words:
"I do not want your physical presence. I want your brain."
It means being physically present in office of a Senior Advocate, following him, watching him etc have little or no value to Senior Advocate.
1) If you are in office of a senior advocate, you should Read current and upcoming cases.
2) Not only read, you should make written notes in a register provided by office of Senior. Written notes are proof that you have read. When you leave office, you must return this register to Senior.
3) If you see any citations mentioned in his case papers, you should check whether these citations are followed, clarified, reversed in subsequent citations.
4) The one word is "Contribution". You must contribute some research to Senior in whose office you may be working. Being physically present there has little value.
